BOMBYX Center for Arts and Equity, 130 Pine Street — Northampton, MA

Brooklyn Steel — 319 Frost Street
We joined forces with singer-songwriter Caroline Rose, to perform at BOMBYX in Northampton and at Brooklyn Steel, one of Rolling Stone’s best live music venues in America. Caroline Roseʼs live show “explodes in color. Angry reds, deep blues, vibrant yellows, and every shade in-between flex and melt onstage in a dazzling light show dance that only grows in intensity as the set goes on" (Nylon).
Metropolis Ensemble accompanied all three concerts, which featured new arrangements orchestrated by Lena K. Simon, produced by Grammy-nominated conductor Andrew Cyr. Caroline Rose’s critically acclaimed, cinematic albums, include LONER, Superstar, and The Art of Forgetting, which Under The Radar calls their “their strongest and most resonant record yet."

About Caroline Rose
A witty, clever, and eclectic singer and songwriter, Caroline Rose is a musician not afraid to evolve in public, growing from a contemporary folkie to an Americana artist with roots rock leanings to a sharp-humored indie pop performer. As a songwriter, Rose is unafraid to look deep inside their psyche, and the melodies are engaging whether they were exploring the earnest moods of early work like 2014's I Will Not Be Afraid, shifting gears to a playfully fractured pop approach on 2018's Loner, or embracing their own vision of contemporary pop on 2020's Superstar. Emotional trauma that came in the wake of a failed relationship informed the darker and more spectral sound of 2023's The Art of Forgetting. More »
About Lena K. Simon
Lena Simon is a wunderkind in the Seattle music scene. She plays several different instruments across five very different bands, including her own project KAIROS. She divides her time between KAIROS, the weirdly rhythmic pop band Pollens, hip hop artist and Stranger Genius shortlister Katie Kate, surf rockers La Luz, and Thunderpussy (a new, all women, classic rock influenced band). She’s also a classically-trained clarinetist, educated at Cornish College. More »
