Metropolis Ensemble joins alumni of American Lyric Theater’s Composer Librettist Development Program, showcasing scenes from four new operas taking stage across the country, including a work by composer Christopher Cerrone, In A Grove (libretto by Stephanie Fleischmann), which Metropolis has helped foster and develop since inception in 2015.

American Lyric Theater (founded in 2005 by Lawrence Edelson) is the only company in the United States that offers extensive, full time mentorship for emerging operatic writers — we at Metropolis Ensemble are very excited about collaborating with kindred spirits from the world of new opera!
