On the Program

Ever wanted to compose music and instantly hear it live by an ensemble of professional musicians? Well, there's an app for that: composer Jakub Ciupinski made one just for you to use tonight.

Metropolis Ensemble, New York's "hippest classical gang in the city" (Manhattan Users Guide), presents composer Jakub Ciupinski (b.1981) in a mind-blowing night of interactive musical performances. Join us for composing and cocktails at 6:30 and stay through until the after-party!

New Music 101: Intro to Electronica will unfold in three distinct parts, from involving audience members to conduct and compose live music via an iPhone application, to an after-party with a live set of minimal house loops and electronica beats composed by Jakub and performed in real-time by a gesture-controlled system of his design... you have to see it to believe it!
